Q : What is Innovation Showcase?
A: Innovation Showcase is a virtual event where creative minds who are doing innovative work in Madhya Pradesh share their ideas, journey and future plans with the Diaspora of MP in the United States. Participants get an opportunity to present their innovation and organization, thereby, opening the doors for global exposure.
The event offers a novel platform to present unique capabilities, explore business partnerships and accelerate the pace of innovation to facilitate a more expansive network of entrepreneurs from MP .
Q: What can participants get from this event?
A: The event is to showcase immense talent and capabilities of entrepreneurs of Madhya Pradesh. The presenters get a chance to interact with primarily Indian diaspora audiences based in the USA. This may lead to opportunities of idea sharing, mentorship, business expansion, investments, networking with fellow entrepreneurs and more.
Q : Are there any prizes for the participants?
A: Innovation Showcase is a platform, an opportunity to present and interact with the global audience. This is not a contest, therefore, there will not be any awards or rewards for the participants.

Innovation Showcase is a virtual event via Zoom. Details of the meeting id and password will be shared closer to the event date.
Q : What is the duration of the event ?
A: Event is scheduled to be around 2 hours in duration .

Q: Who is organizing the event?
A: Innovation Showcase is being organized by Friends of MP NYNJ in collaboration with The Consulate General of India, New York and the Government of Madhya Pradesh. Friends of MP NY NJ (www.FriendsofMPNYNJ.com) is an organization of MP NRIs in the NY NJ Tri-state area, which connects the diaspora of MP and NRIs within the USA to MP, its rich culture and heritage.
The organization works closely with Consulate General of India in New York and Government of Madhya Pradesh on various awareness initiatives every year including this Innovation Showcase Eligibility / Participation
Q: Who is eligible to participate in the Showcase and present their capabilities?
A: Entrepreneurs with an interesting idea or a unique journey who are based in Madhya Pradesh and would like an opportunity to expand awareness about their venture / idea across the globe, explore investment opportunities and markets outside India including the United States of America can participate in the event.
Q: Is the Showcase focused on any specific industry domains / verticals?
A: Showcase is inclusive to a wide group of industry domains and verticals; however, some of the preferred domains are: Software / Information Technology, Finance, Retail, Logistics / Supply Chain, Healthcare, Agri/Food Processing. Any venture which is unique in other areas is also welcome to submit their participation entry.
Q : How will participants be shortlisted for the event?
A : We welcome all organizations and entrepreneurs who fit the above mentioned criteria to register for the Showcase. After an initial screening by the organizing team, selected participants will be contacted for further discussions. At its sole discretion, the organizing team will select the best mix of ventures in different areas and technologies from submissions to present at the Innovation Showcase.

Q : What is the tentative format of the event ?
A: After opening remarks from the organizing team, MP Government and Consulate of India in New York, participants will be invited to make presentations to the audience over a virtual platform, followed by brief Q & A. Participants will be given the order in which they would present and a tentative timeline.
Q: What does the participant need to present during the Innovation Showcase ?
A : While we are keeping the format open that allows the participants to showcase the relevant details of their venture, a suggestive framework would be to cover the following:
- Business domain
- Brief description of the business, emphasis on unique/differentiating features
- Motivation for the business initiative or solving real world problems in real time
- Revenue growth/ projections or any other business information relevant to the venture
- Any other highlights of the business / founders / executive team
- What participant may be seeking from Innovation Showcase audience - Exposure/Mentors/Trade

Q: Who would be the audience for the Innovation Showcase?
A: Friends of MP NYNJ and Consulate General of India in New York will be marketing and publicizing the Innovation Showcase event widely among their members and contact lists. Since it will be free to attend.
Since this will be a virtual event organized on a weekend, we expect good attendance from diaspora members and others in the USA. We want all stakeholders - the participants, the audience and organizing partners - to derive maximum value add for their time and efforts.
Q: What should be the duration of the presentation ?
A: Every participant company would get 10-12 minutes to showcase their organization. They will also have a few minutes for Q&A in which the audience would be encouraged to interact with the participants.
Q: Will the session be recorded? if yes, will the recordings be available to view later?
A: Yes, event managers will be recording the sessions. Recording is expected to be available in abridged format on our website www.FriendsofMPNYNJ.com

A: Registration form is very simple and can be filled in in 5-10 minutes
Q : Is there any fee to register and/or to participate ?
A : This event is being organized by friends of MP NYNJ in collaboration with Indian Consulate and MP Government. For the inaugural Showcase there is no fee to register and/or to participate or attend.

Over 140 applications were received by Friends of MP NYNJ from ventures in Madhya Pradesh (MP). 10 Volunteers of Friends of MP NY NJ interacted over Zoom with 25 of the shortlisted companies . Out of that, We will be showcasing 10 of the most promising companies .

Who is this Event for?
The Event is relevant for any NRI audience who have interest in Technology and Start Ups in India. This could be interesting for Youth here also to attend and see new Ideas.
How will the companies make their presentation?
The Venture Founders will be presenting from India over Zoom. They will also be open to interact/ answer any Questions. Their contact details will also be shared with all registered attendees to connect with them directly
Is there any Obligation to attend?
There is no cost to Attend. Just an interest in Technology and Innovation .
