Friends of MP - NY NJ is an informal coming together of residents of NY Tristate area, who share their heritage/affection with Madhya Pradesh (MP). The idea came into being after the “Friends of MP Conclave” in Jan – Feb 2015 organized by the Govt. of Madhya Pradesh in New York.
As an initial bonding activity, the group has started with organizing an Annual Picnic after Labor Day in the NY Tristate area. The first such picnic was on 20th September, 2015; which was a grand success and turned out to be memorable for all the families who attended and made it happen.
The Group has been celebrating an Annual Picnic , and also started with Holi Celebrations in 2019.
The picnic is arranged on a purely voluntary basis by committed core group of volunteers who reside in NY tristate area and hold their roots of MP close to their hearts.
