Indore has emerged as the india’s cleanest city in the swachh survekshan-2017 conducted in 434 cities and towns, the results of which were announced on may 04, 2017. There are 11 cities from mp among the top 50 clean cities.

New look for website for Friends of MP – NY NJ launched. A new Blog covering the F- MP updates since the beginning of the year has been added, to keep the F-MP NY NJ community engaged and informed about the progress!
Big supporter of Friends of MP – NY NJ, DCG Dr Manoj Mohapatra given fond farewell by Indian Community. On behalf of F- MP, Jitendra Muchhal thanked him at the public Reception for all his support and encouragement to us.
Conference call of F- MP core team to discuss initial preparations, possible food options, agenda for the day, other possibilities at big picture level. Regular calls to follow to get into details in coming weeks.

Park Amenities
Many options have come, members of Core Team have visited parks in Monroe, Somerset, Edison area. However, most venues do not satisfy some or the other major pointers and criteria we have. Strong votes for Governors Island in New York. Certainly a very picturesque location right close to NYC, but not an easy commute for all, and challenging for elaborate food preparations that go along with F- MP Picnic.
What seems to be emerging common favorite is picnic area near Princeton Country Club under Mercer Parks. Team members have made couple of visits, and majority votes for it. Hopefully, if we can lock the booking!
The Core team has started work for venue/date finalization for Friends of F- MP Picnic for 2017 for the warmer months. Your presence and participation made the previous picnics a grand success! While we are looking at Liberty State Park, there may be challenges as they have changed their rules from this year, discouraging for both Pavilions combined to a common group.
So we are trying to look for other options also. And asking all F- MP attendees/ friends for options. These are the main criteria for selection:

Hello! It was just like Happy New Year y'day, and here is Republic Day, with the inauguration already behind... time flies! Members of Core Team of Friends of MP group already met to start planning for get together 2017, over Dinner in Edison, NJ.
Dr/Mrs Kakani joined from Long Island, Rajesh Mittal and family drove in from Queens. Will keep all posted/informed/involved for Picnic 2017 planning. Best Wishes for a Great 2017!!
