After memorable Friends of MP – NY NJ Annual Picnic events (2015-16-17-18) and Holi Celebrations in 2019, we are all set to bring Friends of MP in NY NJ Tri state together again. The Picnic is set to happen on Saturday, September 21, 2019.
The Main Date is selected so as to be after the holidays and Labor Day weekend. It is also after conclusion of Jain Paryushan observance and before Navratri festival commences to enable maximum participation. As a precautionary measure, we have already booked the same venue for Sunday, September 22, 2019 as Rain Date to cover for weather or any major exigencies on the Main Date. Please reserve both dates on your calendar !
Highlights : As in earlier years, We intend to start the Day with Indori Sarafa. Pohe- Sev and delicious Meetha - Namkeen. Then, the day is filled with Family Fun, Activities, Sports. The lunch this year is planned to be Puri - Sabji - Shrikhand . Then, Masti continues with family mingling.
Location: Rosedale Park Picnic Area of Mercer County Parks, NJ is an exciting location with good capacity, covered pavilions, adequate facilities for food, washrooms, parking, sports and activities. The venue is in the Pennington Area; around 15 minutes drive from the Picnic area of 2018 in Princeton. We went to look at several Picnic areas in NJ, and chose this for its quiet and secluded setting for enjoyable picnic for the families attending.
The Picnic is set to welcome only those who are pre-registered and have received confirmation from Friends of MP : NY/NJ team. Please refrain from bringing anybody who has not been confirmed as there would not be any new onsite registration.

The attendee and their family, group are participating in the picnic on their own will. Attendee understands that the picnic and it’s events/participants may be recorded in still pictures/videos and could be utilized at different media and web outlet. The Attendees give acceptance for the same. Since this is a family picnic, consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited. Please refrain from any solicitations of any kind. Kindly do not bring any pets/animals in the picnic area. The picnic and it’s activities are not affiliated to any political or religious organization. All rules and condition set by Mercer County Parks For use of their Picnic area will be applicable to all attendees. Admittance and participation in the picnic are solely at discretion of Organizing Volunteer Team.
